Repentance, Wishing We Could Go Back. Poem by Warren Mbaht

Repentance, Wishing We Could Go Back.

Rating: 5.0

I swiftly feel repentance, If I ever go astray
I think it is my guilty conscience, keeps me strong
If when temptation rises, I could look the other way
I would not rush into problems so headlong

I swear, be more attentive, there is quite a bit at stake
The way I fall into temptation, go berserk
I know I never profit, from wrong choices that I make
And a wrong decision, never is a perk

If I paid more attention, no repentance would I need
So from here in, I will work to get it right
Go to bed and face my problems, where there's nothing to impede
And diligence my way to win the fight

Repentance, Wishing We Could Go Back.
