Replace Me - Poem by Samantha Stough

Open me up
Crawl inside
Stop my heartbeat
No need to hide

Sleep in my stomach
Break all my ribs
Touch my hand beneath the surface
Raid my mind until it gives

Quiet my voice
Close my eyes
Rupture my vessels
Tell me goodbye

I don’t need to breath
I won’t even bother to move
Replace my core
With everything that’s you
