I try to play off fearlessness
Confidence and security
The world can't ever know the truth
But you've always seen through the ruse
And you held me, helped me to breathe

You know my fears
You know the truth of me

So lift me high above these nightmares
Show me how to breathe
Because it's plaguing me, killing me, I can't see
So point the way out of this darkness
Shed your light on me
Can you please rescue me, somebody save me please....

I call your name at the top of my lungs
But no breath or sound escapes me
Screaming silently, deafening
But somehow you've always heard me
You've been there through my darkest hours

You know my fears
You know the truth of me

So lift me high above these nightmares
Show me how to breathe
Because it's plaguing me, killing me, I can't see
So point the way out of this darkness
Shed your light on me
Can you please rescue me, somebody save me please....

You found me so long ago
A cracked and empty shell
And you flew in on angel wings
And saved me from myself
My angel of Grace
