Resentment Poem by Riya Gangwar

Resentment

Don't cry when you are the reason for her tears.
You were emotionless when you crushed her dreams so why feel remorse now?
If those mixed emotions and tears don't come with an apology and a changed mind, they're useless.
When the future is the present and our hearts don't feel the same because of the bashment of character it has witheld don't come with question marks heavy on your heart.
It must be the uncertianty that shadows your doubts of your parenting that breeds you.
How can someone who was so free from bondage shackle his offspring in the chains of slavery?
With every unjustified 'no' resentment builds
So don't be surprised when it's what greets you instead of who you thought would.
