Resentment Poem by Myrah Carls

Resentment

Resentment is the silenced voice
of imprisoned emotions,
struggling to breathe -
like fire in a closed glass jar.
It's the anger brooding
like the undercurrent of the tide -
trying to gain momentum,
yet struggling to subside.
