Resilience Poem by Adegbite Adeyinka

Resilience

I am not done, it's only beginning
Alhough I stumble I will press on
And if I fall, hold still your wailing
My fate is not tied to this defeat

If I'm weak, it won't be long
I'll mould up courage and be strong,
Keep pushing forward to the finish line
Till I taste the sweetness of victory' wine

I'm not done, don't start assuming
The man in me is never retreating
If my steps are shaken by my past
My future is calling, so it won't last.
