Resolve Poem by Chris Townsend

Resolve

Rating: 5.0

Independence said as in a world of wind blowing yellow to the ground,
Grotesque evolution, smashed into oblivion, nowhere to be found,
Words spin and I see a clearing ahead,
No more nonsense, forget it, put it to bed,
I see challenges as this world clears its throat,
Reminders of a previous life, just one sticky note,
Crack my will I am now as I have always been,
The quiet boy in the corner heard to never be seen,
So another digression another reason why,
Another perfect day, destroyed left embittered, torn and left to dry,
Shadows taunt as I leave them behind,
Perfect imagery this new perspective I have to find,
Strong my arms my body and deep in my mind,
Despite my shadows my closet is clear, no new skeletons to find,
I hold my fist and shake it at the world,

Another battle, another day, my mind to hurl…
