Rest In Peace Poem by Nehemias Palomeque

Rest In Peace

Rating: 5.0

Why? Why is life so very strange?
I have work in the morning but I'm up very late..
I'm not in the dog house
I'm not in a cell
They say I can move freely
But can I really tell?

Can this be love
Or can it be hate?
Can it be hail
Or can it be rain?
Cold can turn rain into hail;
She kept my heart and hid it away
She kept my heart, with no judge or no bail
So everyday for me,
Without her,
Is a living hell and I'm burning away

They say I can move freely
But can I really tell?
I'm my own prisoner in my isolated cell
I'm foreshadowing the rings.
I'm foreshadowing the bells.
I can see her in a wedding dress
But she has another man's smell.

In living hell and I'm burning away
He grabs her hand in a very solemn pace
A living hell and I'm fading away
He pulls out the ring, and he asks away
She screams I do, & the entire spell breaks
The living hell is now my comfort place
The cell is broke, I'm free to go
She has my heart, but I kept my soul

I snap awake, I snap my soul
I walk to the mirror, I see my self
A true reflection, that smiles -no more
lonely, but afraid -no more
Lonely, but in pain -no more

I now love my self
I love my own
But rest in peace,
To the dreams I once held.
