Restless Longing Poem by Brad J. McClure

Restless Longing

How can I rest?
While my imagination runs wild
Not yet dreaming
But wishing
Hoping my planned out life will one day come true
I lay awake
Eyes closed
Wondering what she may be doing
At this moment
Maybe we are both lying awake late late at night
Thinking about our futures
Love
And what is to come of us
I am wondering if she wants a man
A man perhaps like me
I want a women
Perhaps a women like her
Perhaps herself
And i wont lay alone any longer
I will stay with her
And only lie awake thing of how happy i am
And how happy i can make her
