Retreat Poem by Marnie O'Brien

Retreat

Could not breath in your presence,
Nor could I utter a sound.
Wind stolen from my sails,
Til helplessly run aground.
Your energy engulfed me
Nothing to temper the heat.
So I retreated to the safety
Of strange arms and cool feet.
