Rewind Poem by Jack Abdallah

Rewind

By night I toss and turn
By day for her I yearn
And I have yet to learn
Her love of which to earn
Alone am I without
Her by my side no doubt
My tears too dry, a drought
She is my one way out
So lost am I it seems
Of her there's only dreams
Nightmares become my screams
My joys torn at the seams
My loss to cope, I break
I made my worst mistake
Left her for him to take
I force a smile to fake
That look upon her face
She was my last embrace
My hand in hers to place
Her hand with mine is grace
Some things I miss, her voice
There is no better choice
To be with her, rejoice
Her lips never too moist
I must see her to hold
As time let slip unfolds
My love for her untold
Her heart to mine like gold
See love is hard to find
Harder with my heart blind
As she and I combined
To find our love, rewind
