Rhyme: I Wonder Why Poem by Caryl Ramsdale

Rhyme: I Wonder Why

I wonder why I haven't seen God's face,
There's not one picture of Him in this place;
I'm just curious, so why can't I see,
I want to know if the Lord looks like me.
Hanging portraits, framed pictures, and albums,
Hold familiar faces I know by sight;
Look in the mirror at that happy face,
That's me blowing God a big kiss good night.
Looking for God? Find a bright shining light,
Sparkling rays blaze, in the palms of His hands;
I read that's where He hides His mighty power,
And the best part, they're nothing like a mans.
God says, 'I'm the Alpha and Omega',
That means He is the beginning and the end;
He calls Himself, 'The I am that I am',
Declaring Satan's the first one who sinned.
If I had God's eyes, I'd see what He sees,
His mouth, I'd kiss every baby goodnight;
With ears like His, I could hear all of you,
Saying, 'Yes, truth sets us free Lord, you're right.'
