Richness Poem by Deepak Calyampoondi

Richness

We are born into this world to play a role,
amassing material wealth is not our only goal.
We come with bear hands only to give,
that love and affection until we live.

I see people toil day and night,
and end up themselves caught in a fight,
for that fight is a struggle only to gain,
that material fortune, and often land in pain.

Learn from the ancient wisdom,
that money does not make the real kingdom,
why fight for the fortune and fame,
can we ever show our face? , what a shame.

Why find pride in this worldly ride,
with things that do not last forever,
even your body will not last,
it's high time we learn lessons from our past.

The real richness lies in your heart,
when once given it's cherished forever,
is the never ending love that lives forever.
