Ride Out Poem by Robbie Squires

Ride Out

Let me ride alone in the night
Just me, my ride, and nothing in sight
The wind through my hair
The rumble in my ears
Turning around is my only fear
Nothing on this dark desolate road
And nothing greater has it ever shown
Watch me as I leave
Departing does not make me grieve
It entitles me to freedom
What I’ve never had before
So please don’t stop me
As I walk out that door
