Ring Around A Rosie.... The Darkness Closed Your Eyelids Poem by Emily Lovell

Ring Around A Rosie.... The Darkness Closed Your Eyelids

Colours bless the sky as the ash crushed life,
Razor blades of grass licking at scarred ankles,
Kiss your dead funeral flowers,
They will burn under your touch.

Tremble; the ice cold water is filling your lungs,
Thin ice splintering your heart valves,
Screaming through the depths,
Sinking
Slowly
Down
the darkness closed your eyelids.

Playing your musical box,
Turning the small handle as the sound repeats,
Over and over the morbid music singes,
Over and over your knife reaches,
The notes marked permanently on your wrists.

The strings of your soul plucked,
One by one your face fell another level,
Leaving it hanging in despair,
As you stretch the skin to give a final tear.

Your long fingernails choking at the yellow tinge of flesh,
Mechanical movements through death,
You carried her weight down to hell,
Thunder claps bringing you forth.

“Ring a round the rosie a pocket full of posies,
ashes ashes we all fall down”
Satan sings the lines with such greed,
As you lit up in crimson smoke,
The blood drained from your body,
Pale lines of tear tracks.

Pierce; cut deep make it real,
Make it your only thrill,
Kill; listen to the music so you feel,
Make it your only thrill.
