Rio Grande Poem by Stefan Splawinski

Rio Grande

travel south of the border where
travellers feel a mighty relief
mexico land of pride and siesta
never free from inflationary grief

compared to this hispanic land
further north is such a disgrace
full of the crass and debased
america is an uncivilised place
