Riot :) Poem by Angelica Arancibia

Riot :)

My spine stands like a mast,
my feet ground what is not sane,
to release the anchor and get ashore when the winds own the sail.

I rise up my chest as if there were no way out for the air,
holding a desire, is there land in the sight?

With the skin like cardboard,
pirates inflate their cheeks and sing rounds,
rounds....while a monkey like a clown wide its lips,
as it was a painful smile after hitting hard its head against the floor, so everybody rises in applause.Everybody aboard!

I see you frowning, your lips spelling the words.
I barely hear! how could I
if the Pirates crack their lips,
singing, cursing the freedom in a world with the rules of 'no time'.

Wait!
I can't listen to what you are saying.
Squeezing your hand, I look at your eyes,
so you can lay yours on mine,
I wish they could be like windows, so you can see,
see the pirates running riot,
while the monkey hits my tympanum like drums.

If my eyes were bridges, you would know how it aches inside,
perhaps you would beg the pirates to double the clonacepan.

I try...but sometimes the wind owns the sail,
and I am swept away while the monkey gets a swollen brain.
