'Rip' Poem by L.C. Morgan

'Rip'

I can’t go a day without one thought
I can’t let it go, I won’t, I’m not
I treasure your memories deep
Even throughout my dreadful sleep
I miss you all the time & everyday
I hate that I had no chance to say
I love you so much, to Death’s despair
Lord Satan took you to his lair
There he has you trapped to wait
Until I arrive, too much, too late
The years have gone & passed
But I’m still stuck in yesterday’s last
I want you back
My eyes do lack
The sight of your smile
Why can’t you stay awhile?
If it was your choice
If you still had a voice
You never would’ve left me
& I think you’ve made me see
Your surprises never cease
My best friend, may you finally rest in peace.
