Rising Prayers Poem by Sumita Jetley

Rising Prayers

In a sunny room so bright,
Sat Amir, with heart so light.
'Be kind, ' he wrote, 'kindness is the key, '
For all the world, let it be.

He thought of fakirs, humble and true,
Praying for kindness in all they do.
Their hearts pure, their prayers sincere,
Bringing love and spreading cheer.

'Let kindness spread like the breeze,
Bringing comfort, putting minds at ease.
One small act can start a chain,
Making the world a better domain.'
