River Of Love Poem by Marla Smith

River Of Love

Life is like a pile of bricks ~~ Everyday you go and build it up ~~ Then you get torn down ~~ Then your like an old abandoned house ~~ You can hear the things that are said ~~ Like the wind passing through ~~ An old abandoned house ~~When that one person comes into your life ~~ They start to fill those holes ~~ They start to make sense of everything ~~ Their the half of you that make you whole ~~ Then your love for them starts to show ~~ Then you start to realize that they love you for who you are ~~ There the one that builds you up ~~ And tear’s you down ~~ No matter what road you take ~~ You always seem to have everything torn in two ~~ Including your heart ~~ No matter what you do ~~ It never seems like enough ~~ For anyone ~~ All you can do is walk away and try not to see what has happened ~~ To the people you love ~~ And how bad you hurt them ~~ Part of you wish’s that, you didn’t do that ~~ The other part is too guilty to speak ~~ All you know is that ~~ No matter what road you take ~~ You will still get hurt ~~ Some may be worse then others ~~ All you know is that ~~ You bleed your love out for them ~~ And with you knowing ~~ That love is everlasting ~~ That makes an everlasting ~~ River of love ~~For the people you care about soo much.
