River Of Sorrows Poem by Bree Swart

River Of Sorrows

Rating: 5.0

Drowning in a river of sorrows,
Hoping life to be better tomorrow.
Flailing in a sea of red,
Wishing those words to be unsaid.

Dancing in a pool of grey,
Thinking of all the things I didn't say.
Lying in a puddle of blood,
Watching as my body floods.

Surfing through the big blue ocean,
Trying to find that happiness promotion.
Floating on the murky lake,
All those things you said were fake.

Diving through a thrustful wave,
The pain is all I crave.
Washing away into nothing,
Wondering if my life means something.

Kicking while swimming through this nile of blue,
Wishing for a good kind of new.
Surviving on depression bay,
Hoping to escape one day.
