River Of Tears Poem by Dani Abstract

River Of Tears

If dry for too long
It's bound to crack
And so this morning my eyes
Went under attack
And before I could react
The precipice of my face
Formed enormous cataracts
That flowed with grace
No longer could I embrace
These captives of pride
They had to be released
From the pain inside
So I cried and cried
Until the tides
Crushed into the shore
So all that I felt
I would feel no more
And what was before
So much doubt and fear
Has drowned in a river
Of so many tears
For all of my hurt
From what was so dear
I have cried out a river
Of so many tears
