Rivulet Poem by Leon Moon

Rivulet

children rightfully dismiss poetry.
to a child all art is secondary
and self evident.

they do not need to mix loss
with proof of beauty.
as it should be.

eternal entrails
of ephemeral legacy.

foundation of supremacy
that is not laid in vanity.

there is only the present priority.
the young do not have a name for
beauty.
