Roads Poem by Aleksandra Spaseska

Roads

paths untravelled,
of stone and dirt,
bringing life closer
and worlds apart.

stones unturned
signs amiss,
tides washed away
with breaths of unsaid.

custom made
footprints
on far away shores,
bespoke smiles,
bewitched minds.

and yet I stand
in the safety of my
crooked doorstep:
trunks packed,
laces bound.
going nowere,
but deeper
underground.
