Robin Of Hope Poem by No Rey

Robin Of Hope

Now there is a rumour that I've heard
about how you are no plain bird
Old wives whispered through the ages
as did mild mannered sages
That when you totter near to me
You're really someone looking down to see
Everything I turned out to be
The ones we miss who are beyond our reach
I know to you, there's no need to preach
For you know this tale and I'll have to hope
That the wives and sages told no joke
Can you be a loved one back?
That sort of faith I find I lack
Your bright eyes spark as you creep so near
You seem to hold no natural fear

I know that if there were any possible way
That they could watch us each and every day
They would twist the threads of fate
To run through every conceivable gate
Just to let us know they are there
That they hear each and every prayer
