Roger Lane Poem by Roger Ippolito

Roger Lane

When the sky is dark and gray,
and the rain comes down in the day.
I just walk in the rain.
Get the blue Raindrops blues My father has never told me,
when I walk in the rain.
I’ll get the blue rain drops blues. Then I’ll hear that whistle of that train
going down the track in the rain
I’ll be walking down Roger Lane
with the Blue Raindrops blues When I get home and let the air out
my shoes. She will hold me and
kiss and I’ll forget the blues But when the skies are dark and gray
I’ll be walking in the rain
I’ll have the Blue Raindrops blues.
