Role Model Poem by Amber Scandridge

Role Model

It's that role model that made you into you
While you were just a kid waiting for your cue
Telling you to always chase your dreams
And not to care about the irrelevant things

See everyone is blind to something
But cannot be blind to everything
If you don't have a road to follow
How will you be satisfied tomorrow?

It's to grow and learn while waiting your turn
It's to know right and wrong without repeating the same song.
Stick with family, keep with God
You will realize they are your strongest bonds.
We all know what a sad world we live in, so I say to you Good luck!
But in the words of my role model: Keep your head up!
