Romeo & Juliet Poem by Katrina Lusk

During the fifteenth century,
in Verona Italy...
Lays a story
of the star crossed lovers,
that ends in pure traged.

According to the stars above
it is said that the couple,
was never meant to fall in love.

The Capulets rue,
the Montagues.
A long lasting fued,
that ended very crude.

Already secretly wed,
by the Friar Lawrence.
Juliet is forced
to marry Paris instead.

On the day she is to wed
she drinks a potion,
to fake herself dead.

When Romeo hears,
about his wife's death...
That is the moment
he is ready to take,
his very last breath.

Their love was marked
ill- fated.
All because one family
was very well hated.
