Romeo's Cry Poem by Justin Jose

Romeo's Cry

Have you ever felt such pain?
Pain that makes you question your own lord,
Pain that makes you question your own love,
Have you ever felt this way?
So weak…. and helpless….

Pain that gives you nothing but tears,

Pain that ruins and nothing it spares,
O’ Venus, o’ Aphrodite,
I’m here on my knees….

With my heart in my hands….

And my life in her hands…..
Make her mine…..and forever I shall serve…..
O’ heareth my cry….for she’s my one true love…..

Dear my beloved…..
have you no heart?
Do you not believe in love?

were Romeo and Juliet no more than a myth?
After all that I’ve been through….
And the endless pain I’ve felt….
Would you let it all go in vain?

My soul was once pure, but now it’s been stained….

I need you close, for your love’s what remains…

I’ve traveled the distance, I’ve run the course,

You say you’ve felt it too…

But I’ve been through worse…

Like a late winter night…lifeless and dark…
I’ve been living my life…since you denied me of love…
Have I done something so wrong….
By loving you o’ girl…
That I’m dying….while you’re there….
And all you can say is-“forgive me”….

I forgive you….
For I’ve loved you like I’ve loved no one else….
And you are no one to be blamed….
After all, it was I who fell in love….
It was I whose feelings changed….

You can never feel my pain….
And god forbid that you have to…..
May you liveth your life in the early spring of May…..
And may lord always be with you…..
