Roots Poem by Sage A. D.

Roots

Rating: 5.0

I’m rapped in the black roots of misery
Drowning, tangled, buried.

Years of dirt
Lies, tears and you.
I want to forget
I try, oh, I try.

Trying to hide all that I’ve ever known,
so I could forget you.

But I’m lost in this grave
Blackness growing through my veins.

The roots you have planted before you left.
I keep nurturing them
for all I keep feeling inside is hate
just hate
Hate…
