Rose Tinted World Poem by Estrella Aguilar

Rose Tinted World

The piercing red blood that rushes through my contrasting rosy tinted cheeks,
The angel dust that plummets in my stitched up cracked heart,
All wrapped up in a care package,
I am a lip stained mess seeking a ticket to the rose tinted world.

You're the sick sickle cell in my bones,
The rash on my knees that I repeatedly scratch,
Anguishing red flames radiate from within.
You're the bruises I wish to conceal from the world,
But don't.
You hang the anchors on your sides,
A pulverized package.
However,
The rose tinted world deprive my irises.
