Roses Poem by Cathy Zhang

Roses

I wandered in a quiet, lovely garden
And stumbled into a patch of roses,
I walked back and said, 'Pardon, '
But took a step forward to be closer,
They stood majestic and tall,
Emitting a graceful call.

The royals of all the plants
The roses rule them all,
The only thing to make them pant
Is if one of them did fall.
But roses still stand proud,
With all their colours loud.

The weeping willow tries to compete
With the beauty of the roses
But sadly, obviously they were beat
By the unusual roses' poses

But when I sit there
With my head in my hands,
The roses can not be compared
To the other majestic lands.
In my mind I join their dance,
When I see them at first glance.
