Rosie The Lion Heart Poem by Dennis Peter Nicolle

Rosie The Lion Heart

Her eyes shining, a gaze of soulful glee
Tail wagging expressing her plaintiff plea.
Her desire shows in looks so keen
It's the outdoors she yearns to fields of green,
With saintly patience heartiness abounds,
With trusting kindness she's out in the grounds. In lush acres where mushrooms grow
Silently she's there with her friend in tow
Her tail erect and gently swaying,
Quietly scenting and calmly playing,
Aware that you're there in this tranquil scene
Her thoughtful nature is clearly seen. Around the children she's soft, soppy and kind
With an aura of openness, a true friend you'll find
Shadowing her escort and unhurriedly returning,
Such a mild manner and yet so concerning.
Sweetness is she having a faithful bond,
Giving such hope makes you truly fond.
