Rotten Roses Poem by Kaustubh Patthe

Rotten Roses

Rating: 5.0

I was in love,
Love is the four letters,
one word.
I devoted my love to thy love, fathomlessly.
And I worshiped in solitary.
She told me “She never be mine.”,
And “She never was.”
It was just a time,
That (she) had passed.
she was just a pretender,
And I was such-and-so.
I asked her to stay,
But that was the price,
she never wanted to pay.
I never wanted to be loved,
I never would,
But It was thy love,
that divulged me “thou could! ”.
But when she left,
She forgot to undo it.
I passed into cold and darkness,
From surrounded.
Now there’s sole agonizing pain,
alive through my veins.
my heart is solitary dead,
And my soul bruised like rotten roses.
