S-E-C-R-E-T Poem by DAKOTA AUSTIN

S-E-C-R-E-T

Keeping a secret
Is as bad as a lie

It comes with regret
In the form of goodbye

Haven’t you learned
That honesty’s best?

You’re sure to get burned
Putting me to the test

You say you love me
And tell me you care

Yet you forsake me
So unwilling to share

I’m the last to know
The least one informed

My patience run low
You are now duly warned
