Sacred Pain Poem by Midifo Yearns

Sacred Pain

What is this pain that pleasures so
That touches deep within the breast?
What is this urge, get up and go
That tarries not nor leaves to rest
The soul of one whose heart is rent
With love that knocks upon a door
Calls out and swoons at wiff of scent
That wafts in wind from distant shore?

And all the cravings of the body speak
They cry and scream to hold and know
Those secret parts that break the beak
Of one who chuffed with self cannot let go
Until caressed and held, yes opened out
like arms of love in wide embrace
that somehow speak in silent shout
and see the splendor of God’s face.
