Sacred Wounds Poem by Stanley Arumugam

Sacred Wounds

My wound festers day by day
Growing putrid poisonous
Infecting my blood line
No one knows, sees
Hidden insidious

On the surface the scab grows
Hardened by stubbornness
Unforgiving itch bleeding
My righteous wound
That never heals

On a surprising day of despair
I discover his presence near
With gentle touching kiss
The miracle change

My stubborn scab
Becomes
A sacred wound
