How long must I carry this load,
When my hands are tired and my heart's about to explode?
Each step I take, I feel you near,
But still, you don't see the weight I bear.
Do you feel the warmth I give,
Or is it shadows in which you live?
I've laid my soul before your feet,
Yet your gaze is fixed on something concrete.
I carry so much on my back,
Responsibilities lined up in a stack.
The pressure's heavy, the days are long,
But I push through, trying to stay strong.
Everything I do is for us to thrive,
To build a life where love survives.
I wish you could see the sacrifices I make,
The dreams I hold, the risks I take.
It hurts not seeing you, feeling the space,
The weight of the world etched on my face.
Balancing it all is tearing me apart,
But I carry it still, with you in my heart.
How long can I fight without a sign,
That what I give is yours and mine?
I'll keep believing, come what may
This love is worth every price I pay.
