Sad Little Lives Poem by Rajendra Panicker NG

Sad Little Lives

She walked along the
promenade with
a prolonged gestation
of pounding thoughts

The sun was dying
spreading blood
in the western sea

The sea cried silently ….
rolling her head over the shore
The sky mourned.....
spreading dark clouds around
The Wild wind chimed
the death knoll!

She walked along the promenade
longing for....looking at the sky

The waves impregnated
and pounded along with
cognitive channels of
emotional ocean!

she looked at the serene
sky in surprise,
the stars scattered
like silver flowers
In the day demise

She looked at the
new born moon
she found many little faces,
left her behind to face
the reality of the cruel life!

She saw her little sister's face
gone with the hurricane last year!
She noticed her beloved mom
gone with the last years flood!

She saw her great father
gone with a bomb blast!
She smiled at her little daughter
left her yesterday with severe starvation!

She waved at her new born son
left her an hour ago with
a dreadful epidemic! !
