Sadness Poem by SarahHelen Snow

Sadness

I run to death
Hoping to save myself from the sdaness of life
But as I get nearer
I realize that I am
Thrusting the sorrow upon myself,
And I return to the path
On which I have been riding'
No matter how bumpy it may be.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This was actually written by my daughter in 2009 when she was NINE years old. After a huge amount of worry & consulation with many professionals, I came to see this poem as a grat piece of writing rather than a cry for help. She is a happy young lady & seems none the worse for her literary angst.
