Safe And Sound Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Safe And Sound

Body of lies crashing down like an aircraft
Into the smoke of nights, broken dreaming
Young were the minds and hearts, crazy too
But the lights were stolen from mornings
All they’ve got were nooses and weak wrists
What is safe and sound, but a delusion
