Salary Poem by Fredrick Nemes

Salary

A reason for thy hustles,
A daily wake up alarm,
An endurance tincture of sun and rain,
Salary is how it was named, part timers get the wages part.

Dropping efforts and sweats,
Drying rivers and forestry lands,
Doing what the code demands,
Such a portion to deserve, a salary is how they named it.

Top Chiefs control it,
The management fixes its rate,
The market decides the fluctuation of it,
It's on weekly and monthly apportionment, Salary is how they named it.

It either awaken or damage brain creativity,
It may cover the bills,
It may or may not elevate you to the good life,
Don't get comfortable over it, create your own system above it,
Salary is how they named it.
