Salute The Freedom Fighter - Poem by Sheshu Babu

This day,
More than a hundred years ago,
A young boy in his teens
Was executed
By the tyrannical colonialists...

The boy from Bengal
Hailed from Mednapur
Called Khudiram
Was sentenced to death
In Muzaffanagar conspiracy case...

Salute his valour!
His youthful courage!
His martydom! Last days in jail
Embraced gallows with a smile
