Salvation Poem by Jade Harmony

Salvation

Salvation-
The word for lost souls
seeking redemption.
The flaws inside our hearts
-are sought out
-are cracked and widened
Until the fault lies there
for anyone to see.
But we struggle on.
Searching for our-
lost hope.
Looking everywhere for the
speck of light.
While our insides are
swallowed.
-By weaknesses-
Is this the hunt for
salvation?

These burning shards of
forgiveness-
Seep into our hands.
Dissolving some of our dark light.
We run around blindly
-searching-
for that piece of happiness.
What we fail to understand is:
To be forgiven-
You must first forgive.
That is the true irony of
Salvation.
