Samsara Poem by Steven Polinsky

Samsara

Rating: 5.0

Reality
The movements of each moment
Transience and restlessness of existence
What Buddhist’s name Samsara

Our steps to eternity may be short or far
Walking into the light may be arduous or sweet and simple
We stumble
Fall over hidden objects

Manipulated by life’s stop signs
Discover a myriad of coincidences
Marvel at synchronous occurrences

We are touched, surprised, riveted, sad, enchanted, charmed and seduced. We are angered, tearful, face regrets, and fears, feel strong, or inexplicably weak

We are overcome with love, consumed by grief, hypnotized and tempted
Bathed in perspiration and swept away by passion

Along the path
The body transforms
The mind evolves
The universe expands
The spirit remains

An ever-endless circle
From the beginning to the end
From the end to the beginning
