Sandalphon Poem by B. Sven Telander

Sandalphon

Plaudits and curses, nascent auspex,
grand hypanthium, dehiscence hypocaust,

puissant requiescat,
arachnoid dura mater,
porcine pia mater,

drowning in ten dollar syllables
wordwind in a thoughtworld,

introubled and unsane, pious saint thief,
treading night’s silent kiss, random
acts of truth and disbelief,

swimming between paradise abyss,
blind walks in a vast forest;

enjoying pecking beaks of recrimination
in a music box village with large helpings
of doting yelps and molly-coddled swill inside

a running destination, gathering
artifices to pillage—

numinous quantum phantom euphonics
rendered and cancelled
ad infinitum.

Eyes without thinking
Shriek

King Silence,
Heard

tomorrow’s meal upon lips
of scent of the yesterday
that fades,

feeling no
teasing ether.
