Sanity In The Sane Poem by Katherine H. Belle

Sanity In The Sane

You there,
Who claims my heart.
Like a knight in armor
You ride.
And like a thief in the night
Steal the very breath upon my heart.
But do you know the promises that you make?
Do you know the commitment
That you do not intend to keep?
Do you know the frailty of my soul
Or the passion of my anger
That should follow my broken heart.
Do you know the fire within me?
Or the force of my breath
Or the power in my words?
And if you do,
How could you
With sane mind
Still choose to love me?
