Sarah Poem by Darryn John Murphy

Sarah

Through the fallen years and many tears
I have wept and heard the echoes of your essence
In the passage of my dreams
In silence there is solitude
I find solace in the rain

My heart has yearned to hold you tight
To breathe your essence
To be there in your presence
For just one moment

To linger by the moonlight
And wonder where you are
Are you standing in the shadows
Watching me from afar

Sometimes I hear your whispers
And I am hollow in my heart
Within the tears there is no fear
For when I sleep I feel you near

For in the midst of twilight
Even though you are not here beside us
My feelings dwell, for you
Our darling little girl
