Satisfaction Poem by Bree Swart

Satisfaction

The blood stained walls are all I see,
The blood stained walls surround me,
I feel trapped, theres no escape,
I close my mouth, as it's covered with tape.

Struggling to break free,
Gasping for air,
Blood is all I see,
This I cannot bare.

He pushed my body to the ground,
and threatened to kill me,
If I were to make a sound.

So I lay there still,
Anticipating the end,
He was getting great thrill,
As I prayed for a mend.

I struggled once, that's all it took,
He grabbed my head, and then he shook,
He saw the horrow in my eyes,
But he didn't care, there weren't any allies.

He carried on and on,
Even when I pleaded him to stop,
He said I was the one in wrong,
Then he looked at the clock.

He pulled his pants up,
And ran to the door,
I had finally had enough,
But he came back for more.

I started screaming,
'No, not again! '
As I knew if he did,
It would be the end.

I ran through the door,
Panting like a dog,
I pulled a knife out of the kitchen drawer,
The rest is all a fog.

I plunged the knife into his heart,
And he collapsed to the floor,
I can finally take my part,
And I walked out the door.
