Savannah: Rainbow Moon Ch 2 Poem by Mike Conkey

Claude and i
Lilys blue eye
i spend time with her
as she shows me the world
is she a friend or something more
as i sit and think
i am still not sure
she is the fire to my wick
as it burns o so slow
my thoughts racing quick
we would stop and talk
and she would ask of my hands
neither of us undertands
as she burns like fire
i learn my desire
in a flame in the night
another speaks to me
she shows and lets me see
something went wrong
with the birth
of my brother and i
we can do things others cannot
as i feel my stomach tied in a knot
as the flame dies down
Lily asks why i havnt been around
i cant tell her the truth
until she breaks my heart
this is what the prophet said
as she told me from the start
Again to the beach
tires stop with a screach
the moon is changing colors
with a rainbow expression
it has been said
that i have done this
i have read this
that i control the stars
i leak a smile
as this side of the world
watches the moon for a while
